To research and protect the biological diversity in Iğdır and its surroundings and to carry out research projects for this purpose, to organize educational activities, to contribute to the regulation of legislation by cooperating with relevant stakeholders, to work in museums and to create biological diversity databases.

To ensure the detection and protection of national biological diversity and to be a unit that creates awareness on this subject on a national and international scale through the activities it organizes and participates in.
